We are looking for a Functional Analyst to join an international IT team and act as the bridge between business stakeholders, different IT divisions, and front-end developers. The Functional Analyst will play a key role in translating business requirements into clear, structured, and testable solutions, ensuring smooth collaboration between all parties.

Responsibilities

• Analysis & Documentation: Produce and maintain functional documentation such as activity diagrams, class diagrams, API-to-data model mappings, and data model-to-UI mappings.
• Design: Translate business needs and architectural guidelines into functional solutions. Create mockups or prototypes when necessary. Estimate workload and ensure the proposed solutions meet performance and quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers to translate functional designs into technical concepts and ensure mutual understanding.
• Coordination: Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for developers during implementation, following up on progress and aligning with architects and stakeholders.
• Communication: Report regularly on progress and challenges to the project manager or team lead.
• Testing & Validation: Prepare and execute test cases to ensure solutions meet the expected quality. Validate deliverables with business stakeholders and end-users.
• Support: Assist developers during implementation and support end-users during acceptance tests.
• Go-live: Contribute to the successful deployment of solutions and ensure long-term application quality (stability, scalability, traceability, flexibility, maintainability, performance).

Mission details

• Duration: 12 months (extensions possible depending on project evolution)
• Languages: English (fluent), Dutch or French

Profile

• Education: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
