The main role is to support an international company active in legal to translate global strategy into relevant local business development and marketing strategy, including developing and implementing specific business development and customer initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES : Customer DevelopmentWork on customer development initiatives, including defining action plans to win more business from existing customers and identify new targets.Seek opportunities to cross-sell the office's practices across EMEA, the Americas and the rest of the network.Manage and drive the preparation of pitches, proposals, capability statements and other presentation materials for clients.Develop and execute client development activities, including webinars/seminars, conference sponsorships, client events and thought leadership campaigns.Capture and analyse data (quantitative and qualitative) on opportunities, pitch results and feedback. Marketing / CommunicationsManage the office's media relations activity and develop innovative ways to increase visibility through engagement with the press, including on social media.Manage the office's profile and presence on the firm's intranet and website.Implementing best practice and leading the drafting of all relevant submissions to directories (Legal 500, Chambers &amp; Partners, etc.), rankings and applications.Support the office's employer brand and other recruitment communication campaigns with the Head of Human Resources. OperationalBe responsible for the marketing/business development budget process for the office.Ensure that a first class business development infrastructure (e.g. referrals, lawyer CVs, CRM database, etc.) is in place and that effective systems exist to capture, analyse and report data.Manage internal office newsletters and contribute to other firm marketing reports.Facilitate information sharing with marketing colleagues in other offices and practices Team ManagementLead the BeLux business development and marketing team, including a business development specialist based in Brussels.Responsibility for the education, mentoring and professional development of direct reports.

YOUR PROFILE:<ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Solid track record of at least 7 years in an international law firm (mandatory!)</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral - good knowledge of Dutch or French, any other language is an asset.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Pragmatic, self-motivated and able to work independently and unsupervised - balanced with a team player attitude.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Able to engage, build strong relationships and gain the trust of colleagues at all levels.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Commercially minded, strong attention to detail must be balanced with an eye for the big picture.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Experienced Project Manager with advanced planning and organisational skills - must be able to work to tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure.</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Strong work ethic, sense of professionalism and accountability.</li><li value="8" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Good command of systems and databases, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM applications.</li></ul>
