<h1 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h1" dir="ltr">Senior Financial Controller</h1>Location: DubaiWe are partnering with a well-established financial services and insurance group in the GCC to appoint a Senior Financial Controller.This is a key role within the Finance function, offering exposure to financial reporting, regulatory reporting, solvency monitoring, group reporting, audit management, and strategic finance initiatives.<h2 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h2" dir="ltr">Key Responsibilities</h2><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Prepare annual and interim financial statements in accordance with IFRS.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and disclosure requirements.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Manage external audit activities and act as the primary contact for auditors.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Support the preparation and submission of group reporting packages.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Reconcile intercompany balances and support consolidation activities.</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Prepare and review regulatory and financial returns.</li><li value="8" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Monitor solvency and capital adequacy requirements and support management reporting.</li><li value="9" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Ensure compliance with internal controls, finance policies, and governance frameworks.</li><li value="10" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.</li></ul><h2 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h2" dir="ltr">Candidate Profile</h2><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or CMA preferred.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">5-10 years of experience in finance, financial control, or financial reporting.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Experience within the insurance sector is highly desirable.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Exposure to regulatory reporting, solvency monitoring, or capital management is advantageous.</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Previous experience working with external auditors and group reporting requirements.</li><li value="8" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.</li></ul><h2 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h2" dir="ltr">What's on Offer</h2><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Opportunity to join a reputable and growing organisation within the GCC.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Broad exposure across financial reporting, regulatory matters, and strategic finance.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Collaborative and professional working environment.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Competitive compensation package.</li></ul>
