We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Risk Officer to join our dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities<ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Provide risk assessment insights on various technical and underwriting topics, including pricing strategies, underwriting processes, performance analysis, governance, and product approval frameworks.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Act as a second line of defense by closely monitoring portfolio performance, collaborating with underwriting teams, reviewing underwriting guidelines, and supporting the risk management lead in deal validation processes.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Enhance pricing methodologies by promoting advanced modeling techniques (such as GLM and segmentation approaches) and conducting back-testing analyses on key pricing assumptions (frequency, claims costs, operational expenses).</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Contribute actively to strategic projects involving underwriting considerations at the group level.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Serve as a key liaison, ensuring smooth coordination between central underwriting teams, local and regional underwriting functions, and commercial teams across the organization.</li></ul>

<h3 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h3" dir="ltr">We are looking for a dynamic and analytical professional with strong communication skills and a solid foundation in financial principles. You should be comfortable handling data, have a keen eye for detail, and be eager to contribute to risk assessment and underwriting strategies.</h3><h3 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h3" dir="ltr">Skills &amp; Experience</h3><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A higher education degree in economics, mathematics, or a related field. An actuarial qualification is a plus.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Minimum two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in pricing or underwriting.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Strong understanding of pricing techniques and the non-life insurance sector (experience in assistance insurance would be a plus).</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Familiarity with industry standards, including product structures, guarantees, and underwriting processes.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Advanced Excel and Access skills; proficiency in R or Python would be an asset.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Fluent English (spoken and written) is required, while French is an advantage.</li></ul><h3 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h3" dir="ltr">Personal Qualities</h3><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a team.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Ability to provide proactive and reactive guidance on underwriting topics, addressing challenges as they arise.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Strong communication and argumentation skills, able to present complex technical concepts clearly.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A solution-oriented approach, anticipating potential issues and proposing improvements.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A curious and autonomous spirit, with a desire to explore innovative approaches.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Flexibility and adaptability, thriving in an international and multicultural environment.</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong engagement with the team.
