<h1 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h1" dir="ltr">Medior Legal Advisor – Competition &amp; Digital Law</h1><h2 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h2" dir="ltr">About the role</h2>As a Medior Legal Advisor, you will play a key role in monitoring and interpreting legal and regulatory developments affecting businesses operating in a dynamic and evolving environment.Your responsibilities will include:<ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments in competition law, digital regulation &amp; platform regulation.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Advising member companies and stakeholders on matters relating to competition law, the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the Digital Services Act (DSA), e-commerce regulations, and consumer protection in the digital environment.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Assessing the impact of legal and regulatory developments and translating complex legal concepts into practical and actionable advice.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Drafting legal analyses, position papers, guidance notes, and policy recommendations.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Keeping stakeholders informed through newsletters, legal updates, webinars, training sessions, and events.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Representing the interests of the sector in discussions with public authorities, regulators, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Contributing to strategic projects and initiatives related to legal and regulatory affairs.</li><li value="8" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li value="9" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Collaborating closely with colleagues across different teams to deliver high-quality services and expertise.</li></ul><h2 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h2" dir="ltr">Profile we are looking for</h2><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You hold a Master’s degree in Law, preferably with a specialization in Competition Law, European Law, Economic Law, or Digital Law.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You have approximately 3 to 7 years of relevant professional experience gained in a law firm, consultancy, company, trade association, or public institution.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You have an experience in competition law and (at least) a strong interest in digital regulation and European policy developments.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Experience in retail, e-commerce, technology, consumer protection, or regulatory affairs is considered an asset.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You are fluent in Dutch and French, with a a very good command of English.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are able to provide pragmatic legal advice.</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You are proactive, well-organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li value="8" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You are a team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li value="9" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">You are service-oriented and motivated to create value for members and stakeholders.</li></ul><h2 class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__h2" dir="ltr">What we offer</h2><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A varied and intellectually stimulating role with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">The opportunity to work on legal and regulatory topics that are shaping the future of business and digital markets.</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A collaborative and dynamic working environment with exposure to a broad network of professionals and decision-makers.</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A full-time permanent contract.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of remote work.</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">An attractive salary package aligned with your experience and potential, complemented by a comprehensive range of fringe benefits.</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Ongoing learning and development opportunities to support your professional growth.</li></ul>
