We are partnering with a well-established international group to appoint a Group Financial Controller overseeing a portfolio of entities across Africa.Based in Dubai and reporting to the Group Finance Director, this role plays a critical part in safeguarding financial integrity across multiple countries and entities. The position requires close interaction with senior leadership, local finance teams, and external stakeholders.This is a highly operational and hands-on role, with significant exposure to complex, multi-country environments and regular on-the-ground presence across Africa (up to 50% travel). Main Responsibilities: <ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Oversee financial reporting across multiple African entities, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Ensure the integrity of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany processes across the region</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Enforce consistent application of group accounting policies and reporting standards (IFRS and local GAAPs)</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, acting as the key point of contact for auditors</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance across entities</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Partner with operational and commercial teams on financial aspects of contracts, pricing, and risk management</li><li value="8" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Drive continuous improvements in finance processes, systems, and internal controls</li><li value="9" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Lead, coach, and develop regional finance teams, fostering a strong culture of accountability and governance</li></ul> Profile: <ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A relevant experience in financial controlling within a multi-country environment</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Experience working across Africa and/or within emerging markets environments</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Solid knowledge of IFRS and exposure to multiple local GAAPs (e.g. OHADA is a strong plus)</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">French speakers are prioritised, with limited flexibility based on the recruiter’s assessment of the overall profile.</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred</li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Ability and willingness to travel (approx. 50%)</li></ul>&nbsp;
