Position Overview:Based in Brussels, this role involves overseeing a team of four accountants, ensuring optimal workload distribution, productivity, and compliance with internal procedures and company policies. <ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="1">Supervise and support a team of accountants, providing coaching, evaluation, and motivation, and ensuring their continuous training and adherence to standards.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="2">Monitor planning and productivity of team members, check workload, and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="3">Review the accounts of the firm’s clients, including in-depth examination of VAT and tax returns, and coordinate and follow up on client audits.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="4">Manage full client portfolios through technical expertise and teamwork, maintaining high-quality standards.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="5">Coordinate the onboarding of new clients and manage ongoing customer relationships, expectations, complaints, and escalations, ensuring timely communication.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="6">Drive standardization of procedures and process improvements based on thorough knowledge of systems and accounting best practices.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="7">Act as the key reference for technical and procedural questions within the team.</li></ul>Key Requirements:<ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="1">Fluency in English and either French or Dutch is mandatory.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="2">Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Tax (or equivalent qualifications).</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="3">Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting firms, with expertise spanning general accounting, tax accounting, VAT compliance, and audit planning.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="4">Proven ability in people management, coaching, talent development, and cultivating a productive team culture.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="5">Capability to manage client relationships and contribute to solution-driven process improvements within the team.</li></ul>
