Summary: The IT Owner / Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business and IT for a mid-size company in the insurance sector. The position is responsible for managing a portfolio of applications and acting as the main liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with both operational needs and technical capabilities.<ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="1">Act as the interface between business teams and IT, translating functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="2">Manage and document a portfolio of applications, ensuring both functional and technical documentation are consistently maintained and up to date.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="3">Lead and participate in meetings with business stakeholders to clarify new initiatives, capture change requests, and define priorities.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="4">Work closely with developers, project managers, and solution delivery teams to drive end-to-end delivery of IT solutions.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="5">Participate in troubleshooting and debugging of applications, supporting the resolution of technical issues as needed.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="6">Synthesize business needs and perform business &amp; functional analysis to ensure accurate and effective solution design.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="7">Define and monitor KPIs to track, report, and optimize application and process performance.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="8">Contribute to best practices and help to establish internal standards with your 10-person team.</li></ul>Required Skills and Experience:<ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="1">Minimum 3 years of experience as either a Business Analyst with a technical (development) background, or as a Developer aiming to move into a business-focused role.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="2">Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French or Dutch is considered a strong asset.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="3">Prior experience in the insurance industry is a plus.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="4">Proficiency in stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and functional analysis.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="5">Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear technical and business documentation.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="6">Experience with debugging, application analysis, and defining business intelligence KPIs.</li><li class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem" value="7">Ability to synthesize requirements and translate them into actionable IT solutions.</li></ul>
