A leading regional holding group with a diversified non-oil portfolio is strengthening its internal audit function by hiring an experienced Internal Auditor. This role reports to the Internal Audit Manager and is full-time based in Abu Dhabi.The organisation operates across multiple sectors including manufacturing, infrastructure, building materials, healthcare, with operations spanning the UAE and wider Middle East.Managing a sizeable multi-entity structure with thousands of employees, the group follows a long-term investment strategy and places strong emphasis on governance, risk management, sustainability, and operational excellence. Main responsibilities of the role: <hr><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Execute internal audit engagements covering financial, operational, and compliance areas in line with internal audit standards</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Perform risk assessments, control testing, and detailed analysis of business processes</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Identify control gaps, assess effectiveness of internal controls, and propose practical improvement recommendations</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Assist in the preparation of audit reports and presentation of findings to key stakeholders</li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Follow up on corrective action plans and support continuous improvement of audit methodologies and practices</li></ul> Profile: <hr><ul class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__ul"><li value="1" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Bachelor’s degree or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field</li><li value="2" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Minimum 2 years of experience in internal audit (up to 6 years approx)</li><li value="3" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Experience within healthcare, contracting, construction, or related industries is a strong asset</li><li value="4" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">CIA certification completed or in progress (or any relevant) </li><li value="5" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Solid working knowledge of internal audit standards, control frameworks, risk assessment, and IFRS</li><li value="6" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">A BIG4 background combined with an in-house experience is ideal </li><li value="7" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">The successful candidate must be based in the UAE or GCC</li><li value="8" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Short notice period required </li><li value="9" class="PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem">Exposure to SAP is a plus</li></ul>
